Wedge struggle in bad weather

Hi all.
Wedges are normally the best part of my game. Whether hitting them full from 120 yards or chipping from around the green im really confident of getting up and down....when the weather is nice.

If the ground is soggy then its like ive never played golf when i pull the 56 or 60 out the bag. The other week i got an 80 on firm ground and then a 105 (worst ever score) on heavy ground...and most of that was from horrendous wedge shots.

In wet weather i find that i either take gigantic divots and they go nowhere or i thin them across the green. Contact is never good.

Does anyone else find this? My long irons dont change much in different weather but wedges are doing my head in.

My wedges are cheap no brand ones and have not had bounce recommended etc.

Cheers

It's a work in progress but the linear method I've adopted is utilising the bounce more and I've certainly lost the fat shot. The thinner one is still an issue but it's far more consistent. Found it good on wet turf yesterday and not any sign of digging. Not a guaranteed method but something to perhaps at least look into

It's not the wedges, it's how you hit them.

Many hit all their shots fat, they only get really caught out as the conditions soften.
