Wedge grinds

It is a bit of a black art getting grind correct on your wedges and is something best sorted out by a fitter. But from what I understand is if your a digger then you need bounce to stop the fats. If your a picker then you need low bounce to stop the thins. You can buy some of that carbon tape and see how your wedge interacts with the ground. If you find that your interaction is around the middle with nothing on the leading edge then you might benfit from less bounce. If you have a lot of heel interaction then something with a heel grind might be better for you.

Yesterday I scrambled well but I worked on coming in steeper than I normally do. The results were good and I did not have a putt longer than 6ft .. I still think I will get a 58 vokey with an L grind, as the bunkers are low on sand and it’s firm in summer.
