Water damaged Iphone

Chuck it in the airing cupboard for a couple of days, propped up so the end with the most ports is upper most. It may yet recover. But leave it turned off.

Is it insured?

My blackberry did a full cycle 30 degree wash, rinse and spin, in my trouser pocket. I only had it for 6 days. Insurance replaced it within 24 hours

try putting it in a bowl of uncooked rice and then in a warm place - rice is particularly hygroscopic; that's why a few grains in a salt cellar will absorb any moisture rather than the salt getting a chance to absorb it. A couple of days of that might get your phone back up and running

if it was on when it went into the water, there is a very good chance the curcuit is fried, it may start working after being powered down and left in the airing cupboard but it is very doubtful it will recover fully. Once the liquid gets into the curcuits, its kinda knackered, if it does work for a bit the corrosion will eat away at it until such time as it dies. Can you not claim on the house ins?
they are very easy to strip too, two screws at the base, you need a wee sucker to lift the front panel, then you can see the inside, any green looking fluff is the corrosion starting on the componants.

If the above advice doesn't work then the final attempt is basically take it fully apart and give it another bath. This time in isopropyl alcohol. Should dissolve impurities on the board and then leave to dry in airing cupboard or similar for a few days before reassembly. This is a very fiddly job and you need some special tools etc to do it. Done a few screen replacements myself and they were "fun".

I've done the alco bath on a laptop which had coke spilled into it and it worked.

I hope you have some form of insurance that will cover it though :o
