In the last six days I have played golf with future brother in law and his dad at norwood. Dad says the course is gorgeous.

my brand new seat Leon FR turned up on Friday I I have driven it 6 yards into the garage where it still sits.

On Saturday my daughter got married.

Sunday I had four. Italian friends round for a very long Italian style dinner.

Monday I drove up to seahouses for a weeks holiday with wife, am and pa.

its been a fantastic week spoiled by not seeing one flippin shot of the Ryder cup which I am led to believe was fantastic.

Please don't tell me I was the only one. Gutted.

Nope you aren't the only one. I had 8 weeks off work over the summer and then joined a boat for an offshore trip the day before it started. 200 miles off Sweden and no Sky TV. Haven't even seen any of the highlights. It's not the same following it on BBC live text and Twitter.

I didn't see any on Friday, played golf most of the day Saturday and watched the first hour or so on sunday.....

I don't get the hype of the ryder cup. I prefer all the majors...

its a good tournament but not 'all that' as they say!

Didn't see much of it. Caught a little on Friday morning, before going out for a round, saw nothing on Saturday As I was travelling south for H4H and a round a Welwyn GC, Sunday was the same, a early round at Blackmoor, which when we finished we caught the last few holes.

But I'm now catching up with it on Sky, got the full replay on.

It's not just the best golf event in the world - it's also the only sporting event I'd ever pay to watch on TV

How can you not love the Ryder cup?
It's the ONLY tournament that takes golf out of it's own comfort zone. The pros show a level of passion you rarely see at any other time. The fans can really get behind the players of their respective continent but, for the most part, maintain a great level of respect for the players of both teams.
Bubba inciting a near riot on the first tee of the singles BEFORE he teed off, Reed giving it back to the crowd after he was heckled on the first tee, Poulter and Rose really getting into the moment.
This is why it's one of the best golfing tournaments on the greatest stages golf has to offer.

I do like the ryder cup, in a sort of 'Disney crazy golf' kind of way. But I don't take it seriously and am not bothered about who wins.
I have as much 'golfing' affection for Jordan Speith as I have for Kymer or Stenson.. I don't class myself as European therefore can't get into the Europe thing....
