I am going on hols to Canterbury,Kent between Friday 29th July and Friday 12th August. I am already in 2 opens at Princes, but I have 2 other games of golf to sort. I have a friend of a friend trying to sort out a game at Walton heath for me with a member, but maybe only a 30% chance.

I can also play Coombe hill and Abridge (amongst others) for free as our club is one of the members of the society of Jewish golf clubs.

However, if anyone on here is a member of Walton heath or the others, I would always rather play with someone, than on my own(so to speak). Day or evening, should be fine. I've played Coombe hill before but not Abridge, can anyone recommend Abridge? I have a h/cap of 10.

Why not play Canterbury?

Its a pleasant members course in parkland and well maintained and with a driving range

It's a possible.

I can play 2 of the 3 mentioned for free, and would love to play Walton heath, but full price is a bit expensive.

If not, I will consider Canterbury. Thanks for the tip.

all the Walton Heath members left long ago.
They found us too common

To be fair Smiffy .... !

Bollocks
:p

To be fair Smiffy I wasn't refering to you. But there are some suspect characters on here who clearly dont live in big houses or have butlers, and also, worse still, some people from "up north"

No names, no pack drill but Homer, Bob, Oddsocks and Murph seem likely suspects

Played Canterbury for £20 twilight after 3, was most impressed, although the course beat me up. Some lovely holes, very much up hill/down hill and with well framed holes. Thanks for the tip.

Glad you liked it!

Not as good as Ashford IMO but a fair course
