thinking of getting a new car, have a passate at the moment and was holding out for some sort of electric but i can't see anything that will fit the bill for me in the next few years, so just had a test drive in one of these.

anyone have one and what do you think of it?

Very nice car ... Guy at work got one

I'd personally go for the seat or Skoda version for more kit for less cash but personal choice

i have looked at the Skoda, but though they must be from the same platform, the two versions had vastly diff boot sizes, either to small or the larger one though the boot was ok its looks more like a 6 seater?

A friend had one for 4 years. Very nice car, never gave any issues. I always enjoyed getting a lift in it ?.

He has now moved to a Volvo XC40. Similar size but an upgrade in quality imo. I don't know how they compare price wise but maybe worth a look as well

XC40 is really nice I was ready to get one through work, 258 bhp hybrid. Great for BIK.
But limited to 112mph relegates it to just a caravan puller.

We've had a mid spec one for 2 years, bought a year old one.

Great car for us, no issues at all. Held value well too as will probably look to shift it next year

I’ve considered a Tiguan but am leaning towards the Touareg. Any views on the Touareg would be great to hear.

I considered the Tiguan as my next company car, really well finished and it looks the part but the tax code was just too high to in the end.
I also looked at the the Skoda alternatives, yes they have a bit better spec but don't don't look anywhere near as nice as the Tiguan imo.

I’ve got an XC60, take it over the VW any day. comfort and all mod cons included, can fit three sets of clubs and two trolleys in the back without dropping the seats. Only need to remove the driver for the third bag. I had 3 Toyota RAV4 before this, the Volvo is way better for comfort and economy. Last week I did Milton Keynes to Dornoch on 1 tank of gas, very surprised, always had to top up the RAV around Glasgow.

One of these autonomous vehicles, then?

Gonna keep my eye on this as i am looking at a Tiguan or XC60 so hopefully get some insight on them both.
Edging towards the VW though .

An XC60 is quite a bit larger than a Tiguan. I had an XC60 for a few years, lovely family motorway muncher, but they are a big hunk of car. The XC40 is much more comparable to a Tiguan in size terms.

been comp prices on them both... used 2 years old, Volvo is much more expensive, the XC does have better spec but 5K more

A current Volvo XC90 driver here, looking at a new one soon maybe. My eye is on either the Skoda Kodiac or the Seat Ateca above, price Vs the equiv VW, BMW, Audi, Volvo is a no brainer!! The Skoda's look excellent value for money!!

agree on the Skoda - that would be on my shortlist in this company.

The Tiguan, Ateca and Kodiac are on teh same chasis but they are different sizes - Ateca smallest and VW in the middle
