I've tried nord and ipvanish in the past and both resulted in a lower speed. That was a few years back though.

Lower speed than what? What are you comparing it too? What sort of speed do you need and for what use?

I’ve got ipvanish which is good but not great. Not at all a techy, so no idea how much if any, it throttles.

Nord works fine for me. Just do a speed test after you have connected as some servers are faster than others. I tend to use Belgium or France.

I use CyberGhost. Just did speed test bottom one no VPN and top reading with VPN so not much difference.

Dont know if this is bizarrre or not - but just tried the speed test with VPN on and VPN off (its CyberGhost). With VPN off I got 106mbps - but with it on I got 125mbps. Is faster unusual? Or not?
