Voluntary use of fairway mats in NQ Club Comps.

Obviously this would only be applied during 'Preferred lies' periods & when Comps are NQ.
Does anyone's Club operate this?
Is there a need for a 'Local Rule' or would it just become a Comp 'Playing Condition'?

Only if compulsory..... in my experience, far better than super-soft fairways.... as voluntary option.... absolutely fine.:fore:
