Just had my first round with a Vokey wedge in my bag - I'm not sure how I've dealt without one before!

I can definitely see why these get so much love on here

Was set to buy a 56* SM4 Vokey but tried it up against the Cleveland CG16 and the CG won hands down. I also prefer the MP-R12 to Vokey as well, they just feel to heavy and dense to me.
IMO Vokey's are popular more by reputation than by being that far ahead of the game.

Cue the Vokey loving masses telling me how wrong I am...

I like that it feels fairly heavy, seems to make shots a little easier, although I definitely need to get some distance control with it!

No wrong or right it's just about opinions. Personally I hate light clubs, particularly wedges and drivers. I like to be able to feel where the clubhead is.

i got 3 of the buggers, for me they are worth it
they are cast which give you that extra feeling of weight

just to add would anyone be interested in a 56 degree vokey sm4 if i was to put it on here for sale?
i got a spare one

Yes I may be. Bounce and finish?

TBH my old vokey was the worst wedge i have ever had the misfortune to buy. I have seen the light, and it super soft Miura's for now. :). Each to there own, and all that.

Find the Vokey and Cally in particular very heavy. However as my short game is in tatters, tempted to go for broke, have my chipping lesson on Friday and review my wedge option in the new year

I went from Cleveland CG15/16 to Miuras

No comparison.........at all.
