Yup, becuase if the glove falls during the backswing it means that the arm is in the incorrect position.

i have added a towel under my left arm to my practice session. i was trying to steer the club face and landed finishing with my left elbow pointing to the sky.

Yep, keep left arm "connected".
As for his putting, Vijay can practice all he wants (and he does) but his putting problems are in the head (as are Sergio's).
I was watching an old PGA program from 2001, when Sergio won his first event over there (The Colonial I think). He was rattling in the putts!! Nice to see, wish he could still do it!
