so im assuming most people know that the sanctions against him were dropped recently, and that should have supposedly been the end of it.
but then this pops up today
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/golf/2013/05/08/vijay-singh-pga-tour-deer-antler-spray/2143849/

better if its just left alone now, in my opinion.

thoughts ?

Yep, that is shocking if its true.... surly he got off by the skin of his teeth and should be keeping everything on the down low for a while as it blows over... Or am I missing some information?

Well that certainly isn't the way to go about things is it!!!!

If thats all true in the article and there isn't something we're missing then is a disgrace, the substance at the time was a banned substance regardless of possible testing. WADA then allow it and he is let off scot free and was never subject to a playing ban all the while it was gonig on.

3 time major winner or not, I really think he has done nothing but damage his poor reputation further.

I think that when it comes to turning people against yourself, Vijay must have the global patent!
What an arrogant son-of -a- beach.
He's just dodged a bullet, why can't he take that as a victory & just get on with building bridges with his fellow competitors?
The man is an idiot.
I hope he misses EVERY single cut for the rest of his golfing career .................. EVERY cut.

Once a cheat, always a cheat if you ask me. So no good reputation to damage, case closed
why is he a cheat? do you think that no other golfer has taken dieting supplements or had some help with their muscle development, how many take beta blockers or some other medication, some have even had cortisone or other pain relief injected mid rounds so as to finish,so they are all cheats and should be banned,is having a whisky to help calm the nerves an aid to the player and thus giving him an advantage cheating, chose your words wisely my friend.

I think any semblance of respect he had on tour has gone in an instant. Plenty of pros on social media condeming the action but do you know what, I think the PGA deserve this to some extent for their head in the sand attitude. If they had acted when this came to light and been firm then the problem would have been dealt with and put to bed

Dunno why everyones getting so wound...... The USGA put all this out in the open without fully going through the channels from what i can see......
For my they handled the matter unprofessionally........
Here's an extract....I makes a little interesting reading regarding the subject....From what i can see if my name was dragged through the media the way his was...Then i would make sure the people that had a hand in it were brought to court.....

Speaking when the case against Singh was dropped, PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem admitted that using deer antler spray resulted in amounts in the body that “couldn’t be distinguished, even if you had an accurate test, with the amounts that you might take into your body from milk.”
He added: “The fact of the matter here is, as some people in the medical community pointed out when this matter came up and now Wada has looked into it and concluded on their own, it’s just not worth having it on the (prohibited) list in that context.”

As I said, he had no case to answer and they were threatening a 90 day ban.
That sounds a bit like he was presumed guilty of doping when he clearly was not.
How on earth can the PGA prove he was taking this substance. It clearly should never have been on a banned list.

They didn't have to prove it, he admitted it. And, whether it was on the banned list or not is irrelevent because it was on the banned list so whether you, I or Vijay think it should have been is irrelevent, he still broke the rules.

Interesting.

From the article;

The lawsuit also says "Upon information and belief, the PGA Tour is aware of other golfers who have used the Spray but has not attempted to discipline those other golfers."

That includes Mark Calcavecchia.
According to the lawsuit, the Tour "did not discipline Calcavecchia, but instead merely told Calcavecchia, an admitted habitual and intentional user of the Spray, to stop using the Spray. Moreover, the PGA Tour told Calcavecchia to stop using the Spray without doing any testing of the product to determine whether its use was prohibited under the Anti-Doping Program. If the PGA Tour had done responsible testing of the product in 2011, it would have known that its consumption was not prohibited and Singh would have been spared this injurious treatment."

Whether you like him or not (and I'm not particularly bothered one way or the other), if the PGA Tour have acted as this section alleges, then I don't blame him and the PGA Tour have brought this upon themselves.

This.

Having read all of it, it seems like with the backdrop of the Lance Armstrong goings on and Golf being a sport of un blemished integrity the PGA panicked, cast aside the sledgehammer and grabbed a steam hammer to crack a nut which as it turns out had nothing inside.

Trouble is the charge of "rape" has been publicly made and as some of the posters have already proved above he is still nailed on guilty, despite the fact that he isn't as there is not enough banned substance in the product to have any effect and should not have even be on the list. If the PGA have just gone Righto carry on chaps nothing to see here, and Vijay is still hanging out to dry then you can understand why he has done this.
