Bit like drink driving, you don't get tested every time you get behind the wheel. The list is there to advise and if you get tested and fail the test then your caught. No one has ever been charged for drunk driving unless they have been stopped and tested.

Does appear to be an even better ruling than Tiger's drop! Yes we all know you're guilty and you admitted as such but because we didn't send a quack in to take a blood test as soon as you admitted it you haven't failed a blood test!

i wonder if I could get my pilots licence in the same way? I've never failed a flight/piloting test!

I get what you mean Bomber

Problem from my point is, to use your analogy, the police will breathalise you if you're stopped under suspicion of drink driving. The PGA tour doesn't activley test for banned substances.

In this instance, again using your analogy, Vijay was pulled over by the police, admitted he was in the wrong, but the police don't test for this, so goes on his merry way.

Agreed, he is a lucky lad.

The doping agency said the amount was so miniscule that it would have no positive effect on his ability.

Another case of golfers buying something at a huge price to try and improve their game then finding out that the product was virtually useless.

So that means then that not only that he cannot be charged with it, he can go on using now within the doping rules!...

I'd never even heard of the stuff before all this but I would hope some form of regular testing is brought into the sport as it is in others.

I agree with Greg Norman, PGA seems very slack and it may cast serious shadows against the "honesty" of golf.
I am watching smug Tim giving his press conference, what a piece of work.

Isn't he a piece of work! Emperors new clothes and all that.......

The rulings around this whole arena need to be tightened up and brought into the 21st Century. In a sport where pressure and keeping your nerve is key (like snooker) it's totally naïve to think that some players don't dabble with performance enhancing technology that they consume.

From what I've read it seems that the professional golfing world is going to get a shock in the run up to the Olympics. Golf's drug testing procedure is nowhere near as rigorous as the Olympic's procedures.
