Video Converter software???

Anyone recommend any decent, free software to download? My new cam seems to Rec in .MOV format which doesn't seem to work with windows movie maker.

Could do with one that isn't going to comprmise the quality to much.

Freemake, it's so simple, import your video then click whatever you need ie convert to DVD, iPad, avi etc etc
Superb free software.

I convert movies for the iPad and no quality loss

I use DVD fab (for ripping) and Handbrake.

If Handbrake can accept your .mov files, then it'll be able to convert them into anything you like. I use it to illegally copy dvds I OWN to watch on Apple devices.

I'm proud to be breaking the law on this one.

Since I own the disk, I ought to be able to watch it on whatever I choose.....

As long as your not reproducing for financial gain, where is the crime
