On the back of the proud dad thread.Had both grandkids last night and because young Bradley Tash had five smiley faces at school this week I took him up to the course for his first role up lesson. At three years and 1 month he stood there dwarfed by the others. (Staring at them)😳
Anyway I did not expect a lot as he has only been three times. Richard one of the clubs pros watched him hit a few. Then told him to put his feet on two leaves for stance, put his hand on the grip in a certain place. Lo and behold he did.
Richard then put a ball basket about 10 yd down the range and said hit a ball in that. After about 10 goes, bang straight in the middle and Grandad who said you have to be quiet screams, " get in there" he hit the basket about six times and I was chuffed to bits.
He then said " cheesy chips" and promptly walks off to the 19th. Picking up all the empty baskets when walking down.
Chuffed to bits and the best five quid I have spent in a long time.
That aside there is some young kids out there under 10 who can proper hit a ball. Listening to some of them learn about holding the "L" eh? Wrist cock. Think I need to up me game a bit.
