Reviewing the scores from our society outings as we prepare for the final outing of the season and was amazed at the varying size of scorecards used by the golf clubs we visited the past 11 months.

Surely it should be easy to make scorecards uniform in size be is simple square or long narrow cards that fold neatly into your pocket or card holder.

Anyone else think have any thoughts on the subject.

You would have thought there would be a standard size. I've known some very small cards down the years - these fall out of my holder - and some extra large ones that won't even fit in at all.
And does anyone actually read any adverts placed on scorecards?

Variety is the spice of life!

I think I prefer differences in all the golf clubs and courses I visit.

I've never found a scorecard I couldn't get in my back pocket yet!

I have often wondered about the difference in scorecard sizes especially when there are preferred lies in operation and you can clean and place your ball within the area of one scorecard. :D

Does anyone ever read the local rules on the back of scorecards ?

Must admit, been a member of my club for two years and only did it a couple of weeks ago.

Personally I couldn't give a toss, Im there to play golf and I would be just as happy using a sheet of A4 as I would a card the size of a fag packet. Unless you are OCD and collect them and have issues with storage, they get handed in and you never see them again. :D

We were having the same thing, and everybody fills their scorecard out differently so our society has designed their own scorecards which are printed and handed out to each member. This has been chopped and changed over the last couple of years but we have it in a great format now that easily allows us to load the scores into handicap master in the clubhouse!
