USPGA o take over European tour

I read with interest the reports that the US PGA Tour is contemplating a take-over of the European Tour.

Given that the European Tour has a current gap of 3 weeks and can only manage 1 event in England would this be a good or bad thing? Paul Casey who is on the European Tour committee says it needs shaking up and it is difficult not to agree but are the Yanks just after the Far East end of the European Tour and would be happy to let the European, and English content, wither and die?
