US PGA 2025 Quail Hollow

Felt like a better day, and the leaderboard has a fair mix now IMO.
Few on the RC thread (me included) weren't expecting Fitzpatrick to return to some form, good to see.
In fact 9 English golfers making the cut! - is that a record for a US based major?
Could add BMac & the 2 NI guys too for a UK number.

He did a clinic at Ganton a few weeks back before a Yorkshire Am's v Pro's matchplay event - it was set up and hosted by Chris Hanson and he had Marco on the range explaining how he achieves max distance - then he called one of the local amateur lads over who hit it further - mind blowing power.

I'd love to see Marco do well this weekend, he seems like a really likeable sort of bloke, but in reality, anything above the cut line he'll take as a positive I reckon,

Penge easily making the weekend - not sure how he played yesterday as I don't think a shot of his was shown (if only somebody could develop the tech so you can watch who you want anytime eh..)

I put a very small bet on him and Dickie Bland making the top 10 before play started yesterday - the bets not dead yet.

It was actually 4 years to the day yesterday since Richard Bland won the British Masters - and what a 4 year period it's turned out to be - without LIV he'd have probably just kept on grinding in the DPWT - but for him to be 60 yards shorter off the tee yet still able to compete with the big hitters is testament to how sharp his game has become.

I have backed...
Rory (win only)
JT ew
Xander ew
Homa ew - I know he's off form but he was 110/1! And has played well at Quail before.
Finau ew - again, he was 110/1 and he could have a sneaky good week.
Im ew - just a random one really.
Two down, four left. My two longer shots doing the best. Can't see Rory actually winning now, so that bet is probably a bust. Come on Max!

If you watch the repeat, will she even know?
They normally know based on what clothes they are wearing. Mine will show no interest and then say, oh isn't he the one who had the white pants on yesterday

What the logic behind the tee-sheet order of the 3rd round, now it’s been changed to 1st and 10th start and 3-balls?

Why aren’t the highest out first, as per usual for post-Cut rounds?

So why aren’t the lowest golfers going off last, and the highest, like Rory, off first and first but one?🤪🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s normal for that to happen

Weather not related
