US PGA 2025 Quail Hollow

Scheffler is a weird one. Insane talent, but not much depth to the guy. He just goes about his business and does the job. He even normalised getting arrested on his way to a golf tournament.

You can't dislike him but he's hard to root for.

Add to that the fact he believes in cloud fairies - and we're left with a bit of a golfing enigma...
Sorry Mel, I don't find him weird at all just a very very good golfer. Must they have a skeleton in the cupboard to be likeable?
As for his Christianity, that's his business and his alone

Personally, I want to see the ‘golf gods’ challenged, so enjoying Rahm’s round and Harris English pulling 5 birdies on the back 9 has to be the round of the day.

Sadly, looks a challenge too far from anyone other than those top dozen and even then, Scottie would have to have a poor final round.

Need Scottie to dunk 5 in the water please

I didn't read it that Mel thought he himself was weird - more that his overall position as a top golfer was a bit weird compared to past top golfers because he doesn't have that extra something in his persona and so on.

What "extra something " must they have? He's a superb player, full stop

We've already had one golfer complete the career Grand Slam this season. Could there be another?

Scheffler still on for it. Is Mickleson playing in the US Open? Any other golfers who could technically do it?
