36 hole foursome...

rarely do i partake in 2 rounds in a day so looking for some tips to keep my energy levels up...

obvioulsy a high carb lunch is in order, someone has already suggested a leccy buggy which was politely declined..

open to suggestions

Avoid sugary things like mars bars, as they will cause a sugar crash, and leave you worse off.

Possibly take two pairs of shoes, and certainly a change of socks.

Yes was thinking about this as hopefully it will be hot. Shower and Change of clothes and socks...

Prince of wales check and blue shirt in the morning
White trousers and Red shirt in the afternoon..

oh and lucky pants..

so no Mars bars, what power foods are they that work?

Apparently bananas are best, however I don't eat fruit, and they will make a very smelly mess if left in the bottom of your golf bag.

If it is hot, plenty of water.

I don't really hold with eating on the course. As an adult, it really should be possible to go four hours between meals without eating. And golf isn't sport like running a marathon would be sport.

That said, I do like a nice sausage in a bun, if there's a half way hut.

Perfectly good suggestion under the circumstances or an electric trolley...... Love it when people cut off their nose to spite their face.......

Nuts, chocolate, lots of non caffeine drinks and bananas or other quick release energy foods.

Muesli is a good start to the day too.

Refer to some of the younger members using electric trolleys as ladies .... their responses should keep your adrenelin levels up!

Chris , whenever possible I do mention that, but mostly in a non Politically Correct manner.

Unless the ladies are from Wigan I aint scared! :D

These are awesome: http://www.naturalbalancefoods.co.uk/store/trek-energy-bars/default.aspx

The Peanut and Oat ones are best.

Come recommended by a PT mate of mine. Absolutely NOTHING bad in them.

You can buy them in some of the bigger Sainsburys stores. Maybe waitrose too.

These look great....

So bacon/sausage bap in the morning, coupel of these babies, shower, change, some lunch and ready for the second 18...

easy ......6th August if anyone cares... ;)
