Unlucky 13?

I had the pleasure of playing Rufford Park with Teegirl on Saturday evening (review to follow) and eventually arrived at the 13th.
I hit driver, 3 wood as far as I could and still had a 9 iron into a back pin.
Here's why

Cracking local course, I am playing there on Thursday. They do some really good offer's during the week, such as 18 holes and then a meal and a pint afterwards to only £25.
Did you enjoy the 17th? Beautiful par 3.

5 iron for me on there normally too. Had a par the last 3 times I have played, prior to that I have never had a par on there. Challenging and a great hole.

mate, thats not a yardage indicator, that's a tombstone, that's one long hole.

The 3rd at my course tops that. 664 off the yellows, 712 off the whites. A bit daft really.

I may need driver and two 3 woods to reach that one.

The 13th at my course is the opposite. A very driveable par 4, although it does have good bunkering.

Calm down.

That would be driver, 3 wood, 5 wood (?) at best I reckon.

Our 13th is a wicked creation. Not only is it tough, but it's S.I. 13, the hardest hole I don't get a shot on.

Can I play off 13 please, just for stablefords?

13th is my favourite hole on my course. It's a 140ish yard par 3, bunkers at the front and sides, cabbage about 3 yards off the back. You really need to have the correct bat in your hand.
