After playing a full 18 holes in -5 Degrees temperatures today I can thoroughly recommend wearing a combination of Under Armour ColdGear Compression Mock Top and Ventilated Leggings. Although they are less than flattering for all but those of us that have progressed beyond an athletic figure, when worn as a base layer below multiple layers of lightweight clothing they are very effective at retaining your core body temperature without restricting movement.

I wore mine under a thin polo, 1/2 zip windtop and light rain jacket, with lightweight rain trousers over the leggings. As a result the only parts that were found by the cold were my face and hands. Not only is the UA clothing excellent at keeping the wearer warm, the material is also odour repellent, so the need to wash after every use is optional.

i fully 2nd this review! i brought the exact same one and wore today for the first time. Previously i wore a nike top which ive had for years. The under armour was alot warmer due to being slightly thicker. The only downside i found was i felt it tubbing slightly on my neck on some rough stubble but thats just me. Will deff be getting more of these worth the £30 so much better than the nike ones

I have never got on with these base layers. I find them irritating to wear, and I never get warm. If it did work, and I got hot, I couldn't take it off. Would rather wear a jumper.

I bought a mock top one recently and can also recommend it. Goes great under a sweater.

Compression aspect takes a bit of getting used to but is also a big element of these tops. Bought mine from my pro who said it would help me hit it further and reduce fatigue. I thought he was pulling my leg but actually I think it does help. It seems to make me feel my muscles (such as they are) are much more active.
