Ultrasonic golf club cleaning...

Anyone used this? Does it work as well as they claim?

There's a machine at our club but i've yet to pluck up the courage to ask for a token to use it

I haven't yet used it, but if I was at my club I certainly would use it regularly.

yes it does, clubs were spotless, grips really tacky, though I didn't use a diy machine. So it will depend on how often that is serviced.

If it's anything like as infrequently as the ball-washers around our track I wouldn't bother.

It will have your clubs looking like new. We occasionally have someone come into our club with this,charges £5 a set.

Had clubs cleaned in Portugal a few years ago--clubs came up spotless.

Must get them done again.

YOu can find ads in the magazines for franchises for this. You put down X'000 quid and get the machine and you tout around clubs cleaning for a living. I guess if you can get in with a few decent clubs you can make quite a bit but it wouldn't work around here - to many tight ***people...!

One of the local ranges (Downshire) has one and it seems to do a good job but I'd be nervous to put a graphite shaft in. Its probably fine but I'm not prepared to risk it. Anyway if I use that what will HID do on a Friday if she isn't cleaning the heads and grips ready for Saturday?

We have one of these franchises visit our club every six weeks or so - he charges a fiver and the clubs do come out spotless. I'm not sure he gets that much trade though as most people, including me, are capable of using a wire brush to do the same job!!

I have used him once or twice though, generally when I win a few quid - so lately that hasn't been too often!
