Even with the bad weather went to the course intending to get a full 18 in today. Got there, bit windy, cold & raining

No chance of that, stuck behind ladies comp, by the 2nd hole a 3 ball had already lost over a full hole???? #hurrytheFup

Thats beside the point. I tee'd off, nice drive landed middle of fairway, 175 to flag. Rescue to egde of green, chipped on 1 putt for par. Parred 2nd and 3rd. Now bear in mind I'm a 21 Handicapper (I'll ignore bandit calls here) On the 4th, came up short into wind, chipped on, 1st putt lipped out, 1 over after 4. :D

Bogey 5th, par 6th, bogey 7th and 8th, parred SI1 9th.

Putting averaged 1.7 putts, only 1 FIR, came off after 9 getting held up all the way round, but even with the terrible weather soaked glove I have never played so well.

I just need to play with the same tempo, relaxed attitude in Comps. I think it helps that I used a driver today, as I only have a 3w, gave me better approaches even if a bit off course. Must say my irons and putter were smoking, putts from 10 feet dropping regularly

Cant wait for comp on Saturday, as long as the wheels stay on :)

I like post like this, they seem to me not to be that popular on the forum, I guess all you can say in the main is "well done". I like the good news stories, I know how profound it can be to have a good round or range session or whatever.

Congrats on turning the corner.

Good luck in the comp mate.

I can kinda relate to this as i was shooting over 100 every time then had a few pointers from a pro and so far the last 2 times i've been since i've shot under 100.

It really is a good feeling mate and the more i play the more i wanna get out there n keep playing.
