Tumi laptop bags

These were once a big sought after thing. I have been spending a lot of time thru various airports but can’t never seem to see the Tumi flagship backpack under $400
Any experience with Tumis here? Alternatives ?

Never owned a Tumi myself, one of the lads had one. Honestly speaking I thought it was good quality but the cost deficit was not justified.
I used to have samsonite stuff because I found a business connection who could offer me a discount.
I still have the air plane bag and my original red hard case from 1998 .. been around the world 4 times with me and to Brazil without me !
Swiss bags were good .. but I think and I noticed in my time a general degradation of quality. So I would say don’t over spend unless their is some form of guarantee policy.

I’ve got a leather tumi laptop bag and it’s brilliant. Pretty expensive but feels like it’ll last a long, long time and if so will prove to be well worth the initial outlay.
I’ve also got a wenger backpack for when I need to carry a bit more stuff and it does the job for the money it cost.
