Today I am in the process of heating up some rather tasty looking home made chicken barley and rice soup. With that I am going to have a cheese and onion toastie.

The toastie will consist of a light spread of lurpak butter on Morrisons thick cut white bread, a generous amount of cracker barrel cheese and copious amounts of delicious salad onion. Toasted thereafter to perfection! Crucial that you keep your eye on a toastie, they have a sneaky habit of burning rather quickly if you turn your back on them! I don't do burnt toast or toasties for that matter!!!

Again it will be accompanied yet again with a cuppa, has to be Typhoo, splash of semi skimmed milk. It might even be a pot of tea today! No biscuits today as I have a nice Pink Lady apple ready to to eaten, sliced with a knife, not bitten. The best way to eat an apple!

What's on your menu today?

my lunch menus tend to be repetitive over the course of a week, with a change the following week. Tomorrow will be something different as I am golfing, monthly medal - I do so hope to break this year's mould, no +0.1 please.

I had a roast turkey carvery with stuffing balls, cabbage, roast potatoes, and carrots with lashings of gravy for £3.35. I'm not suppose to eat it but did anyway and had the apple crumble and thick, proper hospital custard (the stuff that lines the veins) for another 70p. I didn't get much work done this afternoon, kept yawning and had proper nodding dogs on all afternoon.

Dinner tonight will be a couple of poached eggs on toast
