Can you believe the Scousers are going to pish £35m away on that chopper?!

£35m for him....am I missing something?

No wonder they have no cash if that's what they think he's worth!

Comedy of errors! £35 million? WTF?

£35m for a guy who is odds on favourite to be playing for a side whose name starts with the initials HMP next year - laughable waste of money, anyone who happily pays to go to top flite football these days needs their heads reading imo

Bristol City got andy keogh who is a decent loan signing as we're desperate for strikers at the moment.

Jeez old Roman's giving his wallet a right old airing today; apparently the deal for David Luiz is definitely on for around £20m and then still waiting for the ridiculous £50m for Torres. Absolutely delighted.........but far too late for the league this year. Hope it's the start of major re-building for next season.......when Jose returns!!! :D

I was a bit more interested when reports started coming in at lunchtime that Shay Given was coming to Leicester on loan but they were soon proved to be false.

Got to give Sven credit though, he does not do things by half, so far tried to sign Beckham, Henry and Given. Imagine the Leicester side if he had got those 3 in.

Can't believe some of the inflated prices being paid today. It just shows what a farce this whole window thing is. Why pay that much for Carroll who is young and gifted but is a long way from the finished product. What Chelsea are going to do to keep all those striking egos happy makes Mancinis job keeping everyone content at City look like a walk in the park

Koncheski to Forest is a good move for them. He never really let Fulham down in his time with them and thought to be honest it was a bad move leaving to follow Hodgson.

prices for mediocre players are getting ridiculous

clubs will be going bust and not just the smaller ones

spending BIG money on players that unfortunately flop and then have to sell on at a fraction of the asking cost

also im not one in favour of the transfer window fora few reasons (i'll only put 1,b4 i bore you all)
it preys on clubs being desperate to inject new talent into their team, but then clubs hold them to ransom to the last minute and inflate these prices

This is getting close to what happens in major league baseball where they have a trading deadline. There is no money involved but players approaching the end of their contracts are often traded to teams in contention for the last couple of months of the season. There have been some amazing deals done that turned out to be awful when time passed and the prospects traded for the wily veteran turned out to be incredibly successful (Jeff Bagwell from Boston to Houston in 1988).

The money in the Premier League is simply stupid and the sensible teams stay out of it. It's a rich man's plaything to own a football team these days except Fulham who are a crook's daliance (eh Homer?)

It really does need a major team to go bust to stop this wild merry-go-round.

Ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!!

Head for the hills lads ....... Rangers have just signed El hadji Diouf ...

Dodger is gonna explode !!!!!!!!

Why's that Andy? Because the h#ns have signed another washed up crap player from England? :D

Sir Walter has a great track record lately, let's ship out Adam and bring in Beattie being two of his latest brammers. :D

Al, i was refering to the history he has with Celtic fans after spitting on one during a european tie and also the verbals he gave the Scotland player from QPR who was lying on the ground after he broke his leg.

All I will say is that he has joined the correct club to ensure his character is kept in tact.

And by the way, your team need to take a look at themselves....Rangers were gash yesterday but sadly still had enough,a sad reflection on Scottish fitbaw.

He'll be a man of the peeeple at the piggery.
