trackman session

I don't fully understand this? Your stats have come back at 11.8 launch angle but only because you say it was teed too low at the fitting? Then surely it wasn't a "correct" fitting?

OK, so you launch high to get longer distance. Fair enough. But the final stats and shaft recommendations are for launch angle of 12 degs...which isn't what you are doing on course as you are teeing up to get a higher launch. Thus, you don't know what your optimum ball stats are and thus what shaft is really right? And what about driver loft??

Apologies if I've really misunderstood or blatantly read between the lines badly - just trying to ensure that you are getting exactly what you need, rather than what you want to hear!

i understand what you are sayign and thought that myself but the main issue's are the face angle at impact due to the softer shaft.for that reason i require the stiffer shaft, alsoo because of this the loft of the clubhead will be greater than what it is.that is the mian reason why i hit the ball so high from the tee but i do tee it up very high, higher than what the tee was at the fitting.

the spin rate should still be low regardless of the tee height depending on the clubhead angle and loft at impact and once again this goes back to shaft and not the loft on the clubhead itself.

so imho regardless of what height i tee it up the shafts recommended will work well and better than what i am currently using, regardless of whether i tee it just a bit or high as i usually do.

you have put doubt in my mind though so i've sent scott an email to see what he thinks, where oney is concerned i want to be sure.

I'll bow to the specialist but surely the lower the tee height the more side spin is imparted?

not sure,i was getting side spin from a closed face because of the weaker shaft but this would be happening regardless of the height of tee.i'll need to wait and see because i'll have to go back to try out a few shafts that he reckons will work well for me.....better start saving up the pennies!!!!

I fancy trying this guy out myself....................think I'll rephrase that...........I think I'll book some time with him as well, seems thorough and knows his stuff.
What was the cost and time he gives you Wull?

it was £45 for the session and it must of lasted 1hr 30 mins - 2hrs.

in my opinion it is definately money well spent, finally finding out what shaft will suit you and your game.
