Tommos on the move.

He's swapping a run of the mill club for a very good one of Open Final Qualifying standards and a club that is a very forward thinking one with big plans for the next few years.....good move auld yin.

Must be some strange going on at Winterfield. Know a couple of guys who have been members since they were knee high and are thinking of chucking it

A better class of dog is walked over the fairways at Dunbar. You'll only need a mid iron to fend them off, not like Winterfield where you need a 'big dog' to do the job ;)

Good move Thomo good golf all year round down there.

Lovely track, your a lucky boy!

I've moved tracks as well and looking forward to this seasons golf. Hope all pans out well Tommo.

You going to be able to hang on to your h/cap round your new track, or are you angling for some shots back?

I'll see how it pans out, but some people said I would struggle round Royal Musselburgh when I first joined. I shot 73 in my first medal there. We'll see.

Dunno how any half decent golfer could struggle round RM, always thought it pretty straightforward when I was a member there.

Tommo, good luck with the move Dunbar looks a great course.

Looking at your previous track, was I reading it right that it was £100 for a years golf?

No, thats for winter golf or some other tariff. There is all kinds of fees. A full years membership, comps and all, is 310/320 near that, cant remember. That sounds good but your not paying the ground staff...and that is the problem, it's really not good value.

£150 doesnt even get me a social membership to a course down here (south london) the cheapest course to me is around £900 for 7 days, most P&P courses are £100 and you still pay green fee's of £22-£30.

im moving!

My subs for this year are staying the same as last season - £210 for full 7 day membership and that includes £20 worth of bar vouchers!! :D

Went to the open at St Andrews 6 yrs ago. Pre booked a round at Dunbar. Drove from Edinburgh to Dunbar; traffic, road works etc. Parked the car, shoes on, ran to the pro shop:one minute to go.Ran to the first tee.Kackered.Are we too late? "Ach noo laddies, noo rush, weel get thee on",says the starter. Both out of breath, one practice swing, bang we're off. Two drives down the middle and away we go.
Lovely course, great atmosphere and such friendly folk.
Wish it could be airlifted to our part of the world. I'd join tomorrow.
