That I get to play my course for the first time.

I joined Colville Pak in Motherwell in October and due to bad weather, work commitments and the spouse getting pneumonia I have been driving past the course every day pining for the day I can get on it. Well I am getting on today and reall looking forward to it. Due to a year out last year I am having to play for handicap fr the first time since 1990.

I will keep you posted.

Who else is getting out and how did you fare?

Good morning. Good luck today, I really hope you have an enjoyable round with good weather, good company and your golf shows flashes of adaquacy. :)
Its raining here :(

Good job you moved from Shotts Andy, I bet they really do still have some snow up there :D

Have a good day and play well.

It's the thin rubbery bit at the end that you hold and the wee flat bit bent over at the other end is what you hit the ball with. You'll figure it out after a few holes ;)

Well, just back from my first dabble as a member at CP. I have played this course loads of times as a visitor and learned to play on it in the summer evenings as a kid so I know my way around it.

I played odd the yellows and there were 2 winter greens on and 2 temp tees so I am not sure if they will accept my card as playing for handicap even though I was advised to hand it in anyway.

I went out in 40 and back in 38

So a scratch 78 which is 7 over par (I was playing off 11 in '08)

I missed 4 great chances for birdies but overall I am pleased with my ball striking and putting.

I don't think the temp tees matter as long as it doesn't alter the course length by more than 100yds, but I'd be surprised if they'd use it for h'cap purposes with any temp greens.

Good scoring all the same.

Well done Madandra...very pleased for you.
I managed my second best ever round today with a 3 over gross 74 off the whites in the swindle. It was windy and rainy and the greens have just had 30 tonnes of sand put on them so I was very pleased, especially as the round included a double bogey!!
Good luck at your new club.

Good shooting Andy don't think you'll get your 11 back mind.Played this morning in flat calm conditions after yesterdays hurricane which nearly blew me,craw, algar and colin away was round in 81 ,36 pts and hoovered up the money played not bad 2 penalty shots and 3 , 3putts but happy all same the 2 lessons and the work i've done are coming good, happy days.

Well played Andy, One thing; If you're in the club at any point, tell them to get their website sorted out.
It's absolutely shocking.
I want to see photies o' the course.
What is the average CSS?

I have been told the website is under construction but wont hold my breath. I will pass it on though. Because the season hasn't started there wasn't an official medal on, just loads of guys doing the sweep. One more card from a bounce game and the first medal and I should have my handicap . . . mibeez 13 in time for CS ;)

Good your getting back into it Andy.

The Handicap Sec will probably look to use that card if he can - were the holes regular size on the temp greens or were they buckets?

I think as your last handicap was in 08 I doubt you would get anything higher than 11 tho'
