Titleist Fitting day

This sounds completely different to the custom fit session I had with a outlet recently. I keep meaning to post my review the get everyone else thoughts.

well done and sounds like a 'proper' fitting  how long was it?

I've always had a soft spot for Titleist

The fitting itself was about an hour Darth but it flew in and we never felt under pressure Graham made ya fell like just take our time until we get it right for you

Good writeup Bladeplayer. Glad they sorted you out for something that will work well for you.

What did you think of the range ? That's my local range of choice. Excellent facilities.

Its an amazing place Dave the facilities are the best ive ever seen , the target greens and the way they are laid out , and the mats , id love to have a place like that near me , the fact we were using ProV's as practice balls was awsome , the range balls looked decent quality aswell..
Do you know Graham . some guy to have local

2 worthy winners of the fitting day and hope your new sticks work well for you Bill.

Hopefuly Steve , was just amazing to see as the shaft length & stiffness , and the loft changed how the ball dispersion tightened up greatly .. Alans a gent , had a great day in his company

Great write up Bill, sounds like you had an amazing day.

Enjoy the new sticks when you get them, Brendy already has your name engraved on next years Irish Classic trophy

Ah il never be able to win it off +1 Steve :D.. just looking forward to getting them mate , they just look and feel so good when you set up . im well aware range sessions are totaly different than being on the course but i have the correct tools now , have the winter to get them right for the new year

Who was the Richard you played with?

And what a day it was .. Paul from GM collected me at the Airport and we had a great chat re everything golf on the way to the fitting center, I must admit the excitement gave way to nervousness of the unknown as we entered Kings Acres Golf Club,

Paul introduced me to Graham who would be doing the fitting who immediately put me at ease by telling me what was about to happen , he explained for the fitting to work we had to work together and be honest in our findings and likes & dislikes etc , he asked me about my own clubs and my game and what i would like to achieve .. he asked me what was important to me club wise , thin top line like my mp32's was important to me, everything else i was open to suggestion

Firstly Graham had a look at me hitting my own clubs and measured me on track man, he noticed i favoured a draw but also noticed the excessive side spin i had on the ball (it was around 10.3)

He then laid the club heads out for me to have a look at and to pick which i preferred looking down on . the one i picked was the AP2 .. so i had a few swings with the standard regular shaft (as in my own clubs) and these results were measured , he then tried me with stiff shafts that were half an inch longer . dispersion greatly improved and a 7 yard carry increase to 172 ..

Graham then put tape on the club face , hits were pretty consistant so that was ok , he then put tape on the bottom of the club and i was hitting shots off the board , the tape showed the hits were the hosel side of centre , he changed the lie angle by 2* and the tape showed center hitting .. distances were up , dispersion was much closer and my side spin was now 3.1 meaning my draw was ALOT softer and had a better stopping angle ..

Graham explained the weight in the head changed through out the clubs to help the ball flight etc he then tried me with AP1 & CB in the same spec but the AP2's were giving better figures.. he checked and double checked to make sure i was happy , Happy was an understatement , just had to choose grips of choice then we shook hands and the fitting was complete

I will soon be the owner of 714 AP2's , Dynamic Golf S300 shafts , half inch longer , 2*flat , cant wait to try them out now ..

Quick summation of the afters was transfer to Archerfields GC , for lunch and a game with Graham & Richard from Titleist , struggled for the first four holes but then played well enough ..

Many thanks to GM & Titleist for the opportunity , Thanks to Paul from GM the perfect host , great company ,and a brilliant ambassador for GM

Thanks to Graham the perfect professional that puts you at ease in a heartbeat and does the best by you

Finally Alan, great company for the day , super golf swing , i wouldnt be playing him for money any time soon i tell ya , many thanks for the lift back , very much appreciated ,
