Good day all,

Can someone please let me know how many Official Titleist Fitting Centres there are in the UK and where these are located?

I am looking at coming over to the UK to visit family and wanted to try and get a fitting lesson in at one of the centres as I am looking at purchasing some new Titleist clubs.

Any web links to their websites etc would be much appreciated.

[h=2]National Fitting Centres[/h]Titleist National Fitting Centres employ highly skilled fitters who utilise Trackman flight monitors and Titleist Pro V1 golf balls to provide a truly premium fitting experience. Titleist National Fitting Centres are based at each of the following locations and appointments for can be booked via your local approved Titleist stockist.

- St Ives (Hunts) Golf Club, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, England
- Kings Acre Golf Club, Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland
- The Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, South Wales

I took out the one in Ireland .. hope this helps
 
I have used the one at Celtic manor, but for us amateurs they will only book us in on a Monday or Thursday. (Or that was the case last year when I was there). Excellent facility and I could not fault them.

Thanks for that mate.

Looking at visiting that one actually. Just need to check to see the nearest airport to them so that I need to travel as less as possible. Need to fly over!

Chap I play with semi regularly got fitted there for a driver 3 weeks ago, on a Sunday, I'm not aware of his fitting being any kind of a special event, pretty sure he just phoned up and booked it. So I guess things must have changed since last year.

You normally have to book through your pro or an affiliated retailer.
 
They have a phone number on their website to phone up directly and book. I have called them myself as was going to book, in the end I got a Nike Covert instead but there was no issue with me contacting them directly.

Cheers pal! Think this is the easiest one to get to to be honest! Fly directly from Malaga to Bristol and then the train from Bristol to Newport....pretty simple! And the prices are not half bad.... €29 euros return flight from Malaga at the mo! Probably make it over in the new year!

I'll bring the missus along too so that we can make a trip of it and stay at the Celtic Manor resort which should keep her busy! Will also allow me to get a round on the Twenty Ten track and also get a full bag custom fit of Titleists! (the 2 PROPER reasons for going over! haha)! At £70 for a 2 hour full bag fitting, sounds like a great deal!

Need to start saving though!

Any price you pay for the fitting is taken off the price of the clubs, used Celtic Manor fitting center and it is quite good, launch monitor,real balls and hitting into the range so you can see the ball flight.
They also have the same facility for Taylormade, you just phone up and book.
 
Thanks. With the price of the top end irons spiralling and rather limited bargaining to be done on new models, it seems to make sense, especially if they subtract the price from your purchase.

Another little question, if anyone knows - do they help with wedge fitting? My concern with all the new jacked up lofts and such is that the wedge region needs quite a bit of work to fill gaps properly... also, vokey has so many grinds and all, it is a tough job identifying just what is best!

If you ringing Carton its important to know the fitting center is totally seperate from Carton itself , all top people up there but make sure its the fitting centre you are speaking to ... trust me on this

I sent through an email to the 'academy' or whatever it is... I will make sure all is kosher before I go. Depending where I read, I find different things about that the costs are, sometimes partially refunded, sometimes totally refunded against clubs, sometimes balls included... I will be interested to hear what they say.

Not 100% sure mate but the academy could belong to GUI .. lovely spot up there . O'Meara course has some beaut holes on it

Titleist are based in st ives cambs, so I guess this might be a good place to start.
