I have just spoken to the guys at Titleist and they have told me the first tranche of respondents will get an email back, hopefully today, with instructions and a link to the online ball fitting site. They haven't yet reached the 2500 capacity so if you have already applied you WILL be included

Has anyone received the email?

me too! completed the fitting (3 or 4 easy answers!!!) and i've been fitted to the Pro V1x and alternative as NXT Tour. Funnily enough, they're the two balls from Titleist that i know i get on with anyway!

So what was the point of doing it then???

Surely the point of this is to find the ball that will improve your game, rather than just going for the most expensive bling that could cost you shots

Their method of working it out is quite different to the likes of others on the internet. Most want to know have far you hit a 7 iron for example, and then work it out from that. Where-as Titleist work off accuracy of your shots and therefore spin.

I really would never of considered the V1x as I thought that you needed one hell of a swing speed just to get any distance with it.

It'll be interesting hitting one and seeing if it goes far enough.
