After over 1 month out through injury without hitting a ball, I finally got to go to the practice are and try out the Titleist balls. NXT Tour and Pro V1x for me.
For putting, it was a revelation! I putted with these two balls next to my current ball, Nike One Platinum, and some Wilson "ULTRA" just so as i could have a good comparison and feel the difference.
Out of the four, it was the TItleist balls that shone. The NXT Tour was soooo soft, butter like even. The Pro V1x though, although a little firmer off the face, were so consistent and the accuracy of length of putt i was getting was better than anything i've had before.
This continued on to chipping and the Pro V1x was there around the cup every time with the NXT Tour just giving too much spin and stopping short most times. The Nikes were going a little further than i wanted and i'll not say anything more about the Ultras other than that they did a good job of showing me what the other balls were capable off that this one isn't!
I then hit a few pitches and the NXT Tour was #1 for me here with great control as it pitched on the green and stopped pretty quickly.
I haven't hit any full blooded approach shots or fairway woods or drives with them yet as i didn't want to risk aggravating my injury, but i'll hope to get out this week for those shots. As it stands though, the Pro V1x is looking like a contender to take top spot in my bag.
