Hi all. A couple of things

1. I was having a chat with a mate of mine who is convinced this was outlawed when the COR rule came in. I say no as is it not the l.fe model NOR does it have HCR engraved on it like the high cor titleist drivers did, back in the day.

2. Is this the best driver Titleist have made?..Have tried the 905 and 910 range and don't think it is any better.

Thoughts?

1. Pretty sure the J was / is a perfectly legal driver. It was Titleist's first foray into thin-faced drivers.

2. Quite simply, no. A decent driver in its day, but the current technology and design leaves these classics waaay behind. The 975D is probably the most solid Titleist I've hit and if you found the relatively small sweet spot (by todays standards) it went miles.

905r is the best driver they ever made, followed by the 910. If you haven't hit a 910 you are missing out. Best driver I have ever owned, by miles.

Almost certain that ALL Titleist heads (bar some Japanese ones) are conforming.

Technology has definitely moved on. Hit a Non-conforming Cobra 370 recently, that was a rocket in its day. Very ho-hum!
