Just got back from a bit of a golf shop outing, where I have seen most of the new 909 range for sale.

For the drivers, the first thing that struck me was how cheap they are, given the shaft specs (Aldila voodoo, diamana blue, or Ozik matrix). The D3 and D2 were 229, and the Dcomp was 279. 229 for a Titlesit driver is cheap.

The D3 and D2 looked superb, but the Dcomp was a bit of a minger.

For the fairway metals, 129 is a really solid price too, as I pad 170 for my 906s. Same shafts as the drivers too. These sat really nicely to my eye.

I also saw the hybrids, but to me, there isn't that much difference to the 585H to bother with.

All in all, I am very tempted by the D3 driver, and also the fairways. Especially as they are alot cheaper than I thought they would be.

I use a Cobra so the move to the Dcomp will be like using the most traditional club in the world,i cant wait to give them all a go when time allows

I have said many times on here that there is something about Titleist clubs that must have been locked deep in my psyche as I have never liked their clubs. I think they are great peices of kit and particularly well manufactured but there is just something I don't like when I put them behind a ball or swing them. Maybe I have convinced myself I don't like them and hit them badly accordingly but for whatever reason I can't see me using them.

That said they do look decent and at that price are worth considering by any of you guys without the deep hang ups I have. I'm off to lie on a couch somewhere and relate my childhood to a complete stranger. Are DFS staff trained in psycho-analysis :D

I will certainly be trying one of these and am desperate for one to work :D Once I have tried it in a standard fit against other makes/ models at a direct golf etc if it performs well I will be booking myself into the titleist national fitting centre for a fitting. I think I will end up with one of these though as I have already told myself that I love it so will be subconsciously biased towards upon testing it, I fear.

One of the 3 woods will be in my bag before the season starts in anger.

I've tried the f3 and it was fantastic but did launch it a little lower than I wanted. The f2 is the higher launching model, the demo will be coming for a couple of rounds in the new year.

The Voodoo shaft lives up to the hype coming off tour, so stable and almost effortless. Plus it looks amazing especially with the sun glinting on it (If we ever see it again!!)
