Ok so here it is.
I started to play the game around 4 months ago.
I do feel I am improving (slowly).
Thing is, when I get to around 12th-13th hole, I feel my body get tired.
It's as though my shoulders drop a bit and I am convinced it effects my swing.

Anyone else ever felt like this?
Is there anything to counteract it?

Thanks

Elduque...

Make sure to drink & eat something on the way round .. bananna or piece of chocolate or something ,, too late drinking or eating when you feel tired , prevention not cure is the trick

As has been said above really. Make sure you keep snacking and drinking fluids on the way round.

Get a trolley, push or leccy, if needed too.

I usually carry, but am working 14 hours (with a 3 hour drive in the middle) on Friday and 12 hours on Saturday, followed by a 3 hour drive south to Camberley Heath for 18 holes and then 27 holes the next day at Blackmoor.

Needless to say, I will be taking a trolley with me this weekend!

Never really bought into this fatigue m'larky......it's a gentle 3 1/2 hour walk, with maybe 30 or so full swings, 20 or so chips or half shots and 30 or so putts - how can you get tired just over half way through that! :D

Man up the lot of you! ;)

Totally agree.

Ditto, golf is not exercise.
If you are getting tired playing golf, or need to scoff stuff to keep up energy levels, then you really should be thinking about taking some proper exercise, and getting fitter. Golf is just 4 hours of hanging about, waiting to hit something.

Depends how and when you play it. Mon to Fri players such as myself with course clear, I can get round in 2 hours and am going at a fair lick with heart rate well up.

tiredness could also be through pre round lack of preperation, no breakfast/fluids, lack of sleep, hard day at work. We dont all go and play a round as fresh as a daisy!

My last 2 comps were after a night on the bevvy followed by a late one sorting out the missus...(oooer) no wonder I get knackered half way round :p

It might be just a walk for some of you but I have just bought the Garmin watch GPS and set the odometer to see how far I walked and it was 7.1 miles by the time I got back to the car.

You need to start finding some fairways.

Ha ha, thought someone might spot that. Actually it was one of my better games but being such a helpfull person I allways help look for other peoples balls.

If you get tired half way through a round of golf you're not fit enough, simple. A trolley isn't all of the answer, I'd still recommend a bit of fitness as well if you can. It will help you concentrate, focus and think clearly. I'm not talking hours in the gym either, a couple of miles run two or three times a week can make alot of difference
