Time to say good bye.

Sorry to hear that poor health has forced the hand, Mother Nature is one woman who you you can never win arguments with unfortunately.

I’d still stay active on hear, you’ve been here for ages and will still have a contribution based on sheer experience.

As your participation comes to an end, have you thought about some course marshalling at weekends? I’m sure most clubs would be happy to give you a buggy and a free lunch in return. still banter with the lads, look at the new shiny toys and keep the social side of the sport without the physical demand that’s become the challenge? You could even kick the youngster up the back side when playing 9 holes in 2hrs plus 👍

Don’t be a stranger.

Really sorry to hear that. You're one of my favourite yanks :-)

I don't play anymore but find the Out of Bounds section to be entertaining and informative. Maybe dip in there from time to time.

Best wishes.

Just a note to say that I'm no longer physically able to play golf,
am in failing health,
and thus have nothing of value to contribute to the forum anymore (assuming that I ever did!).

I've really enjoyed the time that I've spent here, however,
and would like to express my best wishes to my friends there on the other side of the pond.

Thanks, guys.
I stopped playing and refereeing at the end of last season but I still find many of the posts here entertaining, informative and eminently worthwhile.
Stay with us, it's worth the (little) effort.
Best wishes.

I get it. I too worry that day is coming soon. Age is undefeated, untied and unscored upon. However, please consider staying on the site. Us old guys have a very different perspective on golf that the younger players. I want to keep golf as we know it alive. We cannot let it become a beer bust in golf carts terrorizing the course with music blaring.
