Tiger wanted to be a SEAL.

what's wrong with wanting to be a seal?

a fellow is entitled to want to be anything he desires. you forget his father was one. most fellows who get along with their Dads want to be like daddy.

nothing strange about that.

Think Tiger has said before that, if he wasn't a golfer, then he would've followed his dad into the US services and their special forces. I think I am also right in saying that he's trained with them previously. Anyway, he may well have been good enough for the SEAL's, but would he have been good enough for 22 Regiment?!!!

I don't think theres anything wrong if he did want to be a SEAL, there are a lot of people who dreamed of being in the Army. Everyone has different dreams..

I look forward to the book, it wont change my view on Tiger, I still think he is one of the best golfers around. Everyone goes through a dip in form, its just made more of now there are a number of elite players coming into contention.

Seems like a leak to publicise the book - nothing more than blatant advertising for his wares. I'm sure Woods is very aware of the Seals work and may even have trained with them but given the amount of surgery he has had I doubt he'd ever have been considered fit enough to join such an elite outfit even if it was a serious option (which I doubt).

Yep, either utter fantasy or a cynical attempt to associate him image with one of the few US institutions still well respected - the military.

I wonder did Sean Foley teach him some close quarter combat techniques too?
