Word has it tiger is to divorce,as stated in a previous post I.M.O. tiger was never going to play the masters unless his marriage was over, there was no way she was going to let him play so it looks like he chose golf over his marriage and kids.So what does that say about Tiger?Of course we dont know the details but it would have took a special type of women to forgive what he done.

I understand what your saying there, and as i said i dont know the facts but I.M.O.if he wanted to save his marrige he would have put golf completely last until his marriage was sorted, but as i say its only an oppinion.Coming back to golf so quick and only because it was a major showed no commitment.I.M.O.

I Dont get the whole getting back in to golf so quickly!

If it had been an average joe who had cheated on his wife and family, do you think he would have took 5 months to go back to work?

I thought that she was told that to get half his fortune she would need to be married for 10 years.

I will be surprised if they did stay together, as his level of infidelity is a little worse than a one night stand. Can't imagine what I would feel if I found that my wife had done that to me, but it would be a good assumption that it would end in divorce as there would never be any element of trust.

Not sure how you can possibly say that without knowing the story from within. I think the fact that she wasn't there tells a story about the marriage but to be honest I don't think any marriage would survive the level of deceit that has gone on. As for the kids I don't think he'll win father of the year but has already gone on record about how upset he was missing his sons first birthday so I don't see why the kids should have been a factor in him playing. I'm sure his legal team will ensure he gets decent access.

Think about it Homer....Tiger is sooo focused on beating JN's record that I'm willing to bet that he would sacrifice his marriage (come back early from re-hab) for the chance to win a major...as for the kids; there is no way he'll won't get access...

Exactly the point im getting at,he so focused on the record nothing will stand in his way,im not surprised he was brought up this way.

Disagree. I think he played because there was nothing left at home for him albeit of his own making. I think he needed to get out and playing. I'm sure the lawyers will give him the access he wants and that it'll be tied into any settlement. I don't think golf is necessarily his priority but if you're going to pick the events to play in then it makes sense to play the majors. Better that then some run of the mill tour event. It wouldn't surprise me if the only golf Woods plays this year will be the four majors.

Of course he will get access thats without question but how much time is he really going to spend with them, access is not the same as living and breathing with them every day,and trust me i should know.Maybe he will only play majors this year but to me thats selfish.

So what your saying then is that just because he is getting a divorce he should give up golf and spend all his time with the kids. Don't think so. How many divorcees do you know that stop their career like that. I don't see it as being selfish at all. If I'm right and he does only play the majors I think he's actually being rather reserved. Surely with no wife to worry about it would be easier to throw himself into a full tournament schedule.

From what has come out so far, he has gone back away from public glare to possibly finalise the payout and terms and arrange a date to make the announcement. I guess he'll go back to rehab following this and then get over to St Andrews in plenty of time to get ready for the Open

No definately not saying that Homer, perhaps im trying to say he maybe should have tried a little harder to save his marriage[of course we dont know the facts]however telling the wife your going to play the master is basically saying golf comes first,if he had bypassed the MAJOR maybe she would have seen it as a major commitment[pardon the pun].

maybe should have tried a little harder to save his marriage

I think the point was it was beyond saving. The fact that she wasn't at his stage managed apology or been seen with him was fairly apparent that it was over and quite rightly in my opinion. He made a huge mistake and is paying the price (literally once the settlement comes through). What I don't agree with is the fact that he's neglected his kids. In any other year Woods would have travelled the world playing and his family don't follow him religiously around the globe. From that perspective him being away, this time at the Masters, isn't anything new.

At the end of the day, until an announcement is made then we don't know what is going on and we can only speculate.

Personally I think Elin is mad to stay with him. You could possibly forgive 1 affair, 2 at a push, but 14 or 15 (or whatever it was)? I don't think so. Lets face it she's going to get 1 huge payout, a roof or two over her head, and child maintenance so she's not exactly going to be short of a few dollars. No doubt Tiger's management team and lawyers will insist on gagging orders etc linked to any financial payout, so if they do split I doubt whether we'll hear her side of the story.

According to the BBC website, Tiger has confirmed his entry in the US Open so guess that may be the next time he plays. Interesting to see whether he limits his appearances to just the Majors - if he does then I cannot see him winning any of them. Appearing in the Ryder Cup must also be in serious doubt.

After the Masters, Woods told reporters that for quite some time, he would "carefully consider the matters under the other." At that time people may not realize that Woods, the "other things" to refer to and Irene divorced. Yesterday, the U.S. media broke the news said Woods and Irene's marriage has to end, both the current task is to sign a divorce agreement.

Meng Liao Ming Jiaokai from a text Franze's Baoliao people. "Evidence? Good, in fact, Woods participated in the Masters final round, the Irene alone flew Arizona. Under normal circumstances, in their husband's such an important game, Eileen will be there waiting to see if her husband won. but this time different is that Woods participated in the competition when she chose the plane. "Franze continued broke the news, said:" In addition, the two of them have no communication after a period of time. They currently done is to discuss the details of the divorce, then sign the divorce agreement, so they can continue to live their own life. "
