I nearly put this in things that gladden the heart. But there is just so much more to it than this. Just when you think things could not be worse? He adapted. How did this happen? I was so chuffed for the thing, but at the same time sad for him.
Whatever, it made my day seeing he is ok.

Animals just get on with it. I remember a friend's dog had 3 legs. They used to say he probably wondered why on Earth all the other dogs had an extra one.

"Extra" was the three legged black labrador "stray" that used to come round our street regularly when I was a kid. No one knew who owned him, he'd just skip up and wonder round for a bit every now and then.

I had a 3 legged cat and he got along just fine. He lost it in a fight with a dog. As he was a little plump he was known as 'Lardy' and that changed to 'Yardy' as he only had 3 feet.
