I’ve seen those but I was wondering if I should shell out a touch more for the 1000XM4. The ANC on those is supposed to be far superior 🤔
Those Bose get great reviews but I’d only be using for travelling etc…only way I could justify that price is if I could use them for gaming as well.

Well known brands like Sony, Bose, etc are expensive. And if you're using them on a plane, you really don't need ultra high quality.

I have a pair of 1More Sonoflow and they are just fine. About £70 from Amazon. Excellent battery like - typically go from 100% to 90% on a 4 hour flight.
They are over-ear types (in ear types make my ears sore after a while).

Edit: just seen LT's post about the Sonys. They look suspiciously similar to the 1More, and about the same price, so I'd go for them over the 1More. Likely to get better service if anything goes wrong.

They would need to have great ANC for me to be interested, reviews seem pretty solid 👍

It all depends how much you want to spend. The Sony's I mentioned do a decent level job at a relatively inexpensive price. They really do block out a ridiculous amount, it's freaky.

If you want them to do more then it's time to open the wallet a little further 😄

The 1More's are the first NC headphones I've had.
What I can say is that they are considerably better at reducing outside noise than the in-ear passive noise suppression Shures I used to use (the type which fit like ear plugs).
When you switch the NC on & off with nothing actually playing, the difference in background noise is remarkable.

That’s good enough for me, ordered the Sonoflow Pro version 👍
 
This year I'm going to watch every bit of the Ryder Cup.
Two years ago Mrs. Slime booked us a long weekend in a motorhome over Ryder Cup weekend.
We had a great time .............................. but, come on!
 
Not sure to gladden the heart but it made us laugh.

My stepson needed to buy some perspex windows to replace broken ones in his garden shed. He ordered them but when I asked him if they had arrived he said he ordered the wrong size. I thought it odd but left it at that. We went to his house last night and on pressing a little further it turns out he ordered the size in mm rather than cm. So his replacement windows were delivered in an envelope. 😂.
He did tell me he'd got them at a good price.

Reminds me of a similar mistake I made myself last year!

I’m a sucker for an enamel/tin type of mug. They’re great for work and when I go away they’re robust enough for me to pack and take with me. Ordered one off Amazon last year didn’t check the size just saw it was cheap. Turned up it was literally a dolls size mug meant to be used as part of a toy tea set!!!

It’s now used as a coin holder in my bedside drawer 🤣

A guy I knew at the pit ordered some turf by the yard. But instead of dividing the heard by 9sq foot he did it by 3 sq foot coz a yard is a foot long. His back lawn from an old pit house was very long. When it came he had nigh on enough to cover a football pitch. 😂
He sold some off at 20p a roll and ended up getting a skip for the rest he had that much.
 
I'm not that bothered about athletics but I'm at home and it happened to be on. There's a Dutch athlete called Femke Bol who I know from other championships that she is world class with knobs on. Looking at the line up for today's final, 400m hurdles, most of the other athletes were ones you would want beside you in a fight. Tall, athletic, muscular. Bol looks like an average 14 yr old girl, she isn't by the way.

She won, comfortably 😄. Big smile on her face, very unassuming, great for the sport.

Bol is superb and it was brilliant a couple years back watching her put the yanks in their place

I know her from the interview she did where she sounded like Mickey Mouse.
