Out of the three pairs I have just the one left. They are a thing of beauty.
I once read a story where you have to try on about 10 pairs to find the right ones. The 508’s were like carpet slippers.
My comfiest pair are a pair of Paul Smith jeans, I bought those, an Armani bomber jacket and a Ralph Lauren long sleeve polo from a local charity shop for £15 😀. I was hanging poppies on the lamp posts in the village and just called into the shop to say hello 😀
Showed the two guys I was with and they were gutted. They are the Same size as me. I asked them if they fancied calling in and they said no 😀

If you are ever around Nottingham, play Wollaton park. It’s a gorgeous course and full of deer and a few Stags. First time I played it, on one of the first few holes a Stag of that size was sat down on the edge of the fairway. It was huge and intimidating. My ball was about 20 yards away. As I am just about to swing one guys says “ Tash it’s coming”. I shot forward about 10 yards. ( it was behind me). The bloody thing had not moved an inch. They were rolling with laughter.
There’s a hole near Wollaston Hall, ( where they filmed the Batman movie scenes as it’s very Gothic). One of the lads drove off and the fairway was full of deer. His ball hit one full on the side. It hardly moved then a second later you heard a dull thud.
They are lovely to see, But flippin eck they make a mess of the greens with there hooves.

First time I ever tried Venison, me auntie brought it round to me mums, she told me mum to buy a bottle of red wine to cook it in. She thought “ sod that Ave got a bottle of Rose in the fridge that’s been there since Xmas”. So she cooked it in that 😳
It was bloody rammel. However I have had it since and Venison cooked right is gorgeous.

Selected to play for the region, without going to a selection day. Asked to help run skills sessions for the regional team - coaching is my passion. And to support an umpires & markers course for the region…

My head is still playing catch up. It feels like I’ve opened the flood gates.

Although it's not nice for those affected I did have a chuckle or 2 driving to the shops today..
Our pothole-ridden roads - in an Amber area according to the new map...God help those in Red - are tricky to navigate without thumping one or 2..
However it did amuse me a little watching cars swerving violently to try to avoid one and merely succeeding in hitting one that they would have missed if they'd stayed on their line....

I regularly drive the same road to and from the course and know just about every pot hole on that road. I was following one of my golfing mates and it brought a smile to me to note he obviously them all as well. Must have looked a bit weird to the driver behind me as the two of us took the same route going down the road (I could see in my mirror the driver behind hit a few of the pot holes).
