MR PASTRY was someone else i'm certain,big bushy moustache,still a funny chap.My wife's grandad was Captain of the Southend Home Guard.
As much as we would like to think so Dads Army was nothing like the real thing.
Very funny though....'Don't tell him Pike', will go down in history.
For the really old Clive Dunn was Mr Pastry as well. A slapstick doddery old cook.
He was playing old men when still in his 20's.
