.............however.

Did anyone watch it?

Not that there was anything new or interesting. Just a load of sound bites, with not a lot of meat. But what did we expect really!

Without getting into a political discussion, and the why's and where-fores of the various issues, and bearing in mind that some voters are swayed by 'image'. Who do you think came off best this evening? Regardless of your own political leanings.

I'd rather have rusty nails driven in my eyes than sit and watch those egos trying to outscore each other (and there was live golf on). Unless they are given time to present a structured argument on each point without time constraints or another segue being introduced it doesn't really give the voters a real chance to decide on the policies

Only way I would have watched it was if the 3 of them had been wired to a lie detector with a simplified traffic light system to show the viewers if they were lying or not.

i.e. red for lying and green for truth.

Wouldn't like to be the guy changing the red bulbs when they burnt out !!

Is it me or is every one else fed up with it already? The only people who seem to be excited are the TV and radio political pundits.
As for the "Debate" tonight, I didn't watch it but saw some of it on the news before I switched that over too. It seemed a lot was talked about the Health Service, Education and Police. This is completely irrelevant as far as a UK election is concerned especially in Scotland as these are funded by the Scottish Government and not Westminster.

The Scottish National Party and Plaid Cymru are not taking part in the debates, although the BBC is to hold separate leaders debates in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Also, the debate was meant to be based on spending cuts, tax and political reform.

Sky News will be showing the second debate on Thursday, 22 April, which will look at foreign affairs. The final debate on BBC One on Thursday, 29 April will focus on the economy. x

Seventeen questions of which only five concerned the UK, the other twelve were English related only.

Wonderful format for National debate!
