And,.....it isnt 'Our' boys I'm talking about here, its the trigger-happy yanks.

In the incident in the video, there is no way in hell that an Apache gunship was at risk from either 'small arms fire' or even an RPG from the ground, they were probably a mile away anyway.

To listen to the conversation between crews, and the sick enjoyment they derive from the whole event, is to really listen to Psychopaths at work.

"Oh yeah,....look at those dead bastards.....

"Nice"

Its chilling beyond words, and these are US Air Force crew. :D :D

Our boys aren't there because they want to be. Hell they probably don't even want to be fighting this type of war.

Supposedly friendly soldiers are turning their guns on our boys on the snide so our boys are taking no chances.

Shoot first, ask questions later.

You've been watching too many films son!

why does it make me a psychopath for thinking what they did was right!? what would you have done in that situation!?

Blithe disregard for human life is a feature of psychopathy, although it is more often called sociopathy. So is the easy judgement that 'they deserved it'. Some think a degree of sociopathy is an asset in war, but this is not a war and the same traits are a problem in civilian life.

Have you ever killed anyone, or tortured small animals? Or have you just played war games on your X Box?

Christ, they walk amongst us it seems.....

golfer110: What 'situation' ???? The Apache's were'nt being threatened, the crew's lives werent 'at risk', they were simply just looking for something or someone to light up & kill.

Just because the 'enemy' are willing to kill innocents doesnt make it justifiable that the Yanks do too.

Actually, you've hit the nail on the head I guess, there are people like you serving their country, supposedly.
The alternative is probable incarceration at Her Majesty's pleasure.

*shakes head*

Some people do not understand that democratic countries earn moral authority and legitimacy by not adopting the tactics of terrorists or insurgents, and the democratic countries must be held to a higher standard.

Anyway, isn't this supposed to be nation building (fat chance of that happening) rather than war?

From my point of view, that's the worrying part - no-one really knows whether it a war or an aid effort..... :p

What should they say? Should they regret what they have done? They are trained to talk/think that way. They are trained to not think about the lives of the people in their gun sights - just pull the trigger, do their job and fly home a hero.

Did you ever see the video of Ken Bigley? I'm going to guess not. Perhaps you should watch it and see what it's like to see men dancing around holding the head of an innocent man!... and then tell me that the Americans are in the wrong.

If I lived in a war zone and I was trying to get my cheese sandwich on I might hide round a corner when a great big helicopter got its move on my way.

I'm not the type to stand and wave and hired goons with a load of ammo.

Call me crazy.

You are a psychopath and a fool. People crouch down when other psychos with guns approach them. You seem to approve shooting anyone that you can't guarantee is a friend? If this is a war, you will lose it that way, and have many more soldiers killed.

I grew up in NI and have seen the aggression of the Army towards civilians at first hand, and have had guns pointed at me by them.

Er, the news actually!

The Ken Bigley video is sick as are the others too.

To prevent becoming another victim do you really think the US or UK soldiers really give a crap about anyone but themselves.

If you do then you've been watching too many episodes of the A-Team, where no-one actually dies!

To follow your logic, then after Bloody Sunday, NI Catholics would have been right to regard the British Army as hostile and take offensive action against them.

the helicopter isn't even close to them so why hide round a corner!?

and if you listen they do find an rpg round when the troops move in because they ask if its live or not. so if they would of waited it would of been them in bodybags.

Don't talk to me about the Irish wars.

The worst waste of life I've ever seen over nothing.

Just pathetic!

I can talk about what I like. You don't have to listen - a skill you have already exhibited in this thread. If you think it was about nothing, then that is another conflict about which you are sadly uninformed.

But I see you skip the included point. I will assume that is because you don't have a sensible answer.
