Booked to play in august as our annual friends outing, about 8-12 of us. For a sum of £60 we get a round on each course, buggies, breakfast cob tea/coffee and lunch snacks chips and sandwiches. Not a bad deal. Now we played here a few years back and I came last! Any suggestions as there is no way I want that honour again!! We did play it straight after the seniors tour and the rough was penal about a good foot if not more in length.

When I played it, it was LONG. I practised hard in the two weeks running up to the game just hitting driver, 3 wood, driver 3 wood, etc. at the range. These days I'd probably be even more conservative with my 2nd shots. Either way, you'll need to make safe bogeys on the long par 4s.

i.i.r.c. I did OK. There was a beast par 3 over a lake, I just blasted it over the back rather than risk a 5 wood or something. I played to about 10, there are good par chances, just no "give away" holes.

the above is my club. as you will remember there are loads of grass mounds lining the course so you will find your self playing alot of 'under' 'above your feet shots and down hill and up hill lie's so i would practice these area's

a good tee shot is essential to make a hole easy. the greens are also very fast

two cracking courses, think i remember a 600 yarder on one of them

2 courses. the kings (easyer one with the 190 yrd par 3 over a lake) and the very narrow 'EARLS COURSE'. if your playing the earls then take plenty of balls
