The Union Flag

That is a truly dreadful post, you should be ashamed of yourself.

I expect it’s just a joke which because it’s against Scotland you must feel the need to be offended by it - it’s actually amusing. But then you look for the responses so that you can be offended

I doubt that it was a joke, if, by am amazing chance it was, it was an amazingly crass one.
The fact that you find it amusing probably confirms that it was not a joke.

So why bother posting......

BTW it was the banner headlines at least three Scottish Newspapers so hardly a nothing story to some misguided fools.

The thing is, will that many people even notice. Far more important things in the world to worry about. Not that you have a history posting this sort of thread to get a reaction :sbox::blah:

I had the misfortune to stumble across this post while looking for some golf advice - I'm sorry, I misguidedly thought that this was a golf forum?

In any case, I have some observations:

1. Who cares what Madam Kranky does (or doesn't) do with the Union flag or any other for that matter? I have a suggestion, but not for printing here....
2. IS v the Scots - that would almost be as entertaining as robot wars, I'd buy a ticket to watch
3. If Hogan dislikes the English sooooo much, why live in England?

And we do have some good options for a national anthem - Land of Hope & Glory, Rule Britannia (oh, sorry, should be 'Rule [the best region of] Britannia)

FGS ......three national newspapers project a totally false story as their headlines and you think not many people will notice.

Hmm.. playing catch up on this one and haven't seen any of the papers but from what I read Salmond changed the practice when he was FM and the guidance has just been updated, making this public knowledge. So it's a basically true story but reported in a typically sensationalist manner? Pretty sure we have bigger things to worry about.

Yes it was a joke, one someone here in the office had made that went down a storm - no-one here took any offence but there's always one out there these days .....

I should have guessed the tool Salmond would be the cause of it all...

Now there's a 'person' I wouldn't mind meeting down a dark alley...

Might get his new mates, in the Russian mafia, onto me though I suppose...

Always good fun to post derogatory, insulting and defamatory comments about the First Minister of another country. Just surprised we haven't heard much mention of Janette Tough of late.

I hope I would not, indeed I hope I have not, posted such comments about Theresa May. I would apologise if I have.
So First Ministers and Prime Ministers are exempt but the Secretary of State for International Trade is fair game going off your contribution just 15 posts earlier about “LieAm Fox”?

Yes - as in Tony BLiar? However the point I was really making is that of someone disrespecting the First Minister of a country in which that minister is widely respected - and that country is actually your immediate neighbour and with a population you don't really want to wind up because Scots do have a bit of a chip.

I've not noticed a chip... a big plank maybe but not a chip:D

99% of us have a view on Trump, some extremely disparaging, but how very dare us talk about Sturgeon/May etc.

Indeed we do. I do though try and only be as disparaging of him as the majority view in the US (and the current 60+% view of Trump in the US is pretty damning)
