The State of the English game

And what about our very own tour Pro Sam Hutsby. There has been some astonishing performances given his total lack of experience recently. Way too early to be talking about majors but he's certainly got a few tour wins to come

Ts, Ys, whatever comes nearest will do. Most of the keys on my keyboard have had the letter designations worn off anyway. 5000 odd posts takes its toll.

Do you really think that anyone in the top 20 is a real major contender. I'm not so sure as there is a different mindset (in my opinion) to winning a major plus a stronger field than even some of the main European events. I'm not saying they aren't talented but Kjeldsen, Hansen and Jaidee don't strike me as a major winner

Kaymer and O'Hair don't strike me as winners from the world top 20. Of the others Garcia won't win, Stricker is a doubt and to be honest I don't think Casey or Stenson will. They are all top players and rightly where they are in the rankings but I just don't see any of them being capable of stepping it up to the highest level. Of the remainder a lot with the exception of Westwood have already got majors.

Exactly, but those in the top 20 must have a good shot at it if the likes of YE Yang can do it. Every year at least one of the majors is won by a journeyman, so how you can say Stenson and the like won't win one is beyond me. The only guys I would take out of it would be the ones with the proven lack of bottle, ie: Westwood and Garcia.

Just be happy that we let you monkey hangers play the game, we could take it off you at any time. ;)

I believe that the term "Monkey Hangers" refers only to residents of Hartlepool, a small northeast town .

Your correct but the only other phrase i had was 'bell ends' so i thought i better stick with the monkey hanger version. :)
