the starts just around the corner...whats your seasons goals?

I've been struggling for a while Val, can still hit a couple of good ones now and again, have went from 8.0 to 9.7 over last season and a half, broken radial head in elbow last April hasn't helped but hopefully will start to get my act together this season.

Ouch, not so good. Crawford did say you were handy so hopefully you can get down again.

Good luck pal.

Well my 3 over par 75 has not helped my goals. Probably too optimistic getting down to 6!
Expecting a good cut today on the handicap.
Goals really are course planning and keeping out of the danger areas that cause a double or more. Taking a 4 iron / hybrid off the tee more often for position will be key in getting my goals.
Now I have joined a club I can work on my putting and bunker shots. My short game is much better now than it was last year at 13

We have never stopped comps over the winter and we are now playing the full summer course again.

I went to the driving range three weeks ago to try and get some confidence back as I felt I was afraid to really hit through the ball ... and it worked!!

The last three Saturdays comps was 1st, 1st and 2nd (beaten on the inward nine!) so my handicap is already being cut each week but I want MORE!!

If I can retain the confidence to hit through the shot I hope to be to be a happy golfer this summer.

Would like to get down to 15, think it's possible, but after last weekend I'm not so sure. Yeah I can do it, must have some chipping lessons though and no thanks Bob I dont need a V easy, but cheers anyway ;)

+7 or 14. I'll probably end up somewhere in the middle again though. Not getting my hopes up!

I'm probably not going to get to practise much this year as the bar is still open up my club despite my numerous complaints!

after playing all winter and having lessons since early Feb, i want to get to at least 18, possibly 16
first comp of the year over the weekend (monthly stableford) and shot 40 points off 23 hcp so a good start.
oh, also to just enjoy it, good or bad round!

my goal is to get down to 3 but i'm not playing as much as i hoped,i started my new job on monday there but over time i should start playing much more than i have been.

I'm confident enough that I can get to 12 Hendo, lowest was 12.3 so I've been there but need to get more medals in this year. I'm reasonably happy with my game just now, had a few stinking holes yesterday and if I'm honest it was probably my worst round since last season finished but that happens from time to time so we'll see how it affects.

You played pretty well yesterday and like me an odd loose shot gets punished, I'm sure you could make single figures if you play often enough.

Good luck pal

Stopped in at my course on the way home from my fitting this morning, made sense as I had all my gear with me and golf atire on, played 9 holes and finished 1 over par, 6 pars, 1 birdie and 2 bogies. Looking good for my target if I can carry it forward to the medals, and the whole course that is :-)

Mine was to win a comp, did that in the first weekend of the new season last week! New aim, win 3-4 comps, won an Irish doubles last week, 2 in succession! Now to beat my new OB of 86gross, win 3-4 comps (only 2 more needed) to get down to 12-14 handicap and finish in the top ten I the order of merit if not win!!!!

Plan is to play as many 36 hole opens as possible. Currently got about 10 or 11 lined up and always looking for decent ones that I can get to with an overnight stay. Got Trilby Tour in May as well, looking forward to that.
