The Sports HQ - any experience buying from them?

I live not far from their depot, just outside of Alvechurch village. If I ever buy anything from them, I usually go straight to the depot and the guys at the counter are always happy to help. I've bought a stand bag from them, odd shirts and a pair of winter trousers that when I got home, realised I didn't really need them, so I returned them with no problems at all.

...Only issue I have is the £5 delivery. Stops me buying cheaper items as that bumps the price up too much

That certainly puts a slight dampener on my transactions wih them - so I normally look for the stuff where multiples are appropriate - 4 pairs of trou; 6 mocks etc. Of course, it's no different to what other retailers and Ebay sellers normally do (or build in to the price!).

Got my refund (£1 but it's the principle - and I'll continue to do that!) for the delay in 'Next Day Delivery' service!

I am about to do the exact same thing... £1 or £100, I paid for a service I didn't get! Although I assumed the whole £5.99 was for next day not £4.99 for normal then £1 extra for one day!
